PUMO Servo Press - Product Overview and General Introduction
PUMO Servo Press/CNC Precision Pressing Machine, also known as PUMO CNC Precision Servo Pressing Machine or Electronic Press, is a fully electronic high-precision pressing equipment launched by PUMO brand for intelligent manufacturing assembly lines. It uses an AC permanent magnet synchronous servo motor as the sole power source, and converts the motor's rotational motion into the vertical linear motion of the pressure head through high-precision ball screws or planetary roller screws. Combined with a high-sensitivity piezoelectric force sensor and a high-resolution encoder built into the servo motor, it forms a complete position velocity thrust three loop control system. It can collect the corresponding relationship between the pressing force and the pressing depth in real time during the entire pressing process (force displacement curve, i.e. F S or P D curve), and automatically judge whether the product is qualified or not according to the preset process window, achieving 100% online quality management. PUMO servo press completely abandons the traditional hydraulic oil source, oil cylinder, and compressed air energy consumption links of pneumatic motors, and has core features such as energy saving, cleanliness, low noise, programmability, and data traceability. It is the preferred upgrade solution for modern digital factories to replace hydraulic press and pneumatic press.
The PUMO servo press product family covers three major structural series: ① C-type (bow/single column) servo press - open body, front and left and right sides open for manual loading and unloading or docking with mechanical arms, throat depth is usually 120-250mm, suitable for bearing pressing, shaft sleeve assembly, riveting and small part shaping, with a rated pressure range of 0.5-100kN (about 0.05-10 tons of force), which is the most commonly used desktop or floor mounted precision pressing equipment on the production line; ② Four column (modified structure of four column hydraulic press) servo press - with four guide columns and a dynamic template structure, it has high guiding accuracy, strong resistance to eccentric loads, a large tabletop (300 × 300mm to 800 × 600mm or more), and a rated pressure of 20-200kN (2-200 tons), suitable for large-scale component pressing, powder metallurgy forming, composite material pressing, and processes that require multi-point uniform force distribution; ③ Desktop/mini servo press - occupies a very small area (the tabletop is often ≤ 400 × 300mm), integrates a touch screen, has a rated force of 0.5-5kN, and is suitable for laboratory sample pressing, small electronic component assembly, and research and development trial production.
In terms of control, PUMO comes standard with a 7-15-inch color touch screen human-machine interface (HMI), built-in PLC or motion control card, and supports storing 100-999 sets of program recipes. Each program can independently set parameters such as fast forward speed, detection speed, pressing speed, holding time, target position, target pressure, and threshold; During the pressing process, real-time force displacement curves are drawn and recorded at a sampling frequency of 500-2000 times per second. After the pressing is completed, the preset qualified window (upper and lower envelope lines) is automatically compared, and OK/NG signals are output to light up the three color lights. Unqualified products are locked or alarmed; All batch data can be exported via USB, uploaded to the upper computer via RS485/RS232, or directly connected to the factory MES/SCADA system via Ethernet (Modbus TCP, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP), meeting IATF16949 and ISO9001 quality traceability requirements. The servo drive unit is compatible with mainstream brands such as Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Delta, and Huichuan servo systems. Some models support EtherCAT/CANopen bus communication for multi axis synchronization and remote parameter modification.
The PUMO servo press body is made of high-strength impregnated cast iron (HT250/HT300) that has undergone aging treatment or high-quality steel plate welding structure. The rib plate layout has been optimized through finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure minimal elastic deformation of the body under compression. The verticality of the press head movement is ≤ 0.02mm/100mm, and the flatness of the worktable is ≤ 0.02mm, ensuring the coaxiality of the press fitting. The standard configuration for the front end of the pressure head is M12 × 1.75 or M16 internal thread connection interface, which can quickly replace flat pressure heads, imitation pressure heads, riveting molds, marking fixtures, etc; Some models integrate heating plates (controllable from room temperature to 300 ℃) under the workbench or inside the pressure head for hot pressing or bonding processes. In terms of safety, it is equipped with dual hand start button, safety light barrier (light curtain), emergency stop button, top dead center mechanical limit and software travel limit (Soft Limit) multiple interlocks, which comply with GB 5226.1 and CE safety standards. Compared to traditional hydraulic presses, PUMO servo pressure machines have a power consumption of only 20% to 30% of the same level of hydraulic equipment (zero standby power consumption), no risk of hydraulic oil leakage, and operating noise<70dB (A). They can be used normally in Class 7 and above clean workshops and are ideal digital press fit equipment for the automotive parts, new energy vehicle three electric systems, precision motors, 3C electronics, medical equipment, and hardware assembly industries.
