It is recommended to follow the following steps: Step 1: Load Calculation - Calculate the actual axial push/pull force Fact, multiply it by the safety factor S (usually 1.5-2 times, and take 2-3 times the impact load) to obtain the design thrust Freq=Fact × S, and select the cylinder type based on the PUMO rated thrust series; Note that vertical lifting should take into account the weight of the push rod and connecting components. Step 2: Stroke and Retraction Length - Determine the effective stroke L_stroke and verify the installation space: linear total length ≈ stroke+motor length+cylinder body front and rear end cover allowance; Folding axial length ≈ stroke+cylinder body allowance (excluding motor length); Reserve a buffer distance of 5-10mm at both ends. Step 3: Speed matching - According to the process rhythm requirements, the highest speed v_max is required. Combined with the initial selection of the lead screw Ph and the rated speed n (rpm) of the servo motor, v=Ph × n/60 × i (where i is the reduction ratio) is calculated to ensure that the motor operates in the rated speed zone rather than the constant torque zone, causing excessive deceleration and heat generation. Step 4: Accuracy and Screw - Choose C7 grade ball screw for ordinary point positions; Precision pressing/measurement with C3/C5 grade or planetary roller screw; Full closed-loop requirements can be equipped with magnetic grating ruler/grating ruler. Step 5: Installation Method and Communication - Confirm the form of front/rear flanges, ear shafts or hinges, and piston rod end connectors; Confirm the communication protocols supported by the PLC (pulse/EtherCAT/Modbus/CANopen, etc.).
